Student journalists gathered once again for the resumption of Schools Press Conference after a 2-year long pause due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Different schools and journalists have prepared to compete and showcase their skills in the different categories that were concluded in the said competition.

"Considering the pause that was caused by the pandemic, I really missed joining this contest — all the aspects of it including the training period to the thrill of the awarding ceremony. I self-trained and polished my skills while we were in lockdown. I really looked forward to the day Presscon "comes back," so I really am excited. Yet, I still felt anxious since there was pressure on our shoulders, especially since TAU has a 17-year long legacy to continue," a student journalist of TAU-LS said.

These students battled the schools from their municipality to take the ticket to enter the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC), which was held at Moncada, Tarlac.

Just like the previous years, almost 90 student journalists contested for the top 10 spots during the DSPC Semi-Final Round and will compete once again for the Final Round, where they aim to take the ticket to the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC).

In addition to that, those who will secure the spot for the RSPC shall face a new challenge since they need to defend the overall champion title that the Tarlac Province is currently holding.
