After preparing better sports premises, Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) welcomed hundreds of athletes from around region III as the university hosted the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Meet last February 20-24, 2023.

To provide student-athletes a suitable environment to train, university president, Sir Max Guillermo initiated the improvement of the sports oval, the establishment of Sports and Socio-Cultural Building, and the construction of the university’s grandstand by utilizing the provided school’s athletic fee.

Sa susunod na project, covered na ang buong volleyball court,” Director Lorena Bermillo said. “Next time, magfo-focus sa swimming,” she followed.

As the TAU Director of the Sports Office, Professor Bermillo stated that they will focus on improving the volleyball court and swimming facilities next time.

Furthermore, upon being asked about her motivation, Director Bermillo mentioned that the university’s athletes are active and are very willing to play even without being persuaded.

Sigurado ngayon ay sisimulan nang ayusin ang mga tubig,” Pres. Guilliermo declared during his closing remarks last morning of the 27th, at the flag ceremony.

Recounting the previous SCUAA Meet where there was an issue concerning the water flow when thousands of athletes simultaneously used them during the morning, Pres. Guillermo claimed that they are aiming to solve the issue in case they will accommodate athletes in future sports competitions.

Parallel to this, Pres, Guillermo stated that TAU will host another sports competition held for university employees in June or July of 2023.
