As they effortlessly create their chronicle of vast experiences, this year's story has been molded and honed through time and effort, paving the way for their pursuit of truth and justice in campus journalism.

Traveling along six steps of stairs leading to the facade of the Tarlac Agricultural University-Laboratory School (TAU-LS) Agriculture and Homemaking Building can lead someone to the Reading Center—a room filled with a freezing ambiance and a touch of the unwavering dedication of young student journalists.

With students reading stories, forming dreams, and scribbling articles, their starting point happened inside the Reading Center. The students started with a scratch of paper, a drop of ink, and a hint of interest in wanting to learn and express themselves beyond the four corners of a classroom and out to the world of campus journalism. Alas, memories were made along the pages of their journey.

The Tillers, the student publication of the heartwarming campus of TAU-LS, serves as a home for the skills, talents, and hopes of student writers, journalists, and broadcasters. However, before the journalism training started, the publication selected aspiring campus journalists first.

From coaches searching for talented students willing to partake in the world of campus journalism to the constant phrases of current campus journalists saying, "Pinapatawag ka raw sa Reading Center" and "Sali ka na," which echoed to every single classroom in Laboratory School, the publication completed the final list of over 60 campus journalists.

The completed list meant one thing—continuing the Tillers' 17-year legacy of the overall championship in the Municipal Schools Press Conference (MSPC) in Camiling.

With the very first challenge of their electrifying story, these heroes needed to train.

Clusters of campus journalists, with their yellow paper and pens, scattered across the seven tables in the reading room. With a well-ventilated atmosphere, cozy ambiance, and a wide area for training, the campus journalists felt the comfort of a training ground. After their working mode stops, coaches' critiques, comments, and suggestions fill the air, hinting that the training is over and a new set of topics awaits the journalists the next day.

With different places for different categories, their training grounds expanded from LS classrooms and Audio Visual Rooms to the Reading Center. The unwavering passion and dedication of the campus journalists went through a series of competitions up until the upcoming preparation for the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) Final Round on March 10-11, 2023.

As the campus journalists have expressed excellence throughout their journey, this year's story did not happen overnight. Their stories have been molded and honed through time, relentless effort, and dedicated days scribbling and writing drafts of articles and scripts that pave the way for their improvement in tilling the land of campus journalism.

"We till what you cannot fathom," the Tillers tagline echoes truthfully.
